Vickers for Charity
Vickers are passionate about giving back and creating a positive impact within our community.
This year we have been proud to support a range of charities that are close to our hearts – whether that be through personal endeavours, sponsored events, volunteering or fundraising – we have aimed to raise as much as possible.
The team at Vickers have done us proud this year by taking part in numerous charitable events, some of which include;
- An office raffle for The Howarth Foundation & Calderdale Smartmove Christmas appeal. Funds raised provided parcels and toys for underpriviledged families across Calderdale, Kirklees and Bradford.
- Customer Service & Sales Advisor Kathryn completed her first London Marathon for St Luke's Hopsice who provide respite and end-of-life care.
- Staff donated children’s coats and warm winter clothes for The Pudsey Community project - a local charitable organisation that provide youth and poverty resources across Pudsey and the surrounding areas.
- Donations of food and toiletries were made to the Trussell Trust who support foodbanks across the UK, providing vital resources during the cost of living crisis.
- We donated new children’s pyjama sets for Clothing Bank Leeds for young families in need.
- Vickers held a successful coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Most recently Vickers staff brought a bit of sparkle to the workplace for our annual Christmas jumper day – raising lots of cash for Save the Children.
We would like to thank our staff for working so hard to make these events a success, and of course those who have donated and supported us along the way.
