Site Expansion 2018
2017 was another very successful year for Vickers Laboratories which saw the site expanding, adapting and upgrading for the future, which has set the precedence for 2018.
Steve Foster, Our Managing Director states, “As a business we have some difficult decisions to make soon in terms of the expansion, as the firm is starting to outgrow the site. It’s about balancing up the challenges and the opportunities. We weren’t impacted by the recession and we have grown every year since the MBO.”
The forthcoming plans include new racking to be able to keep an increasing amount of stock for our customers, a substantial auger filler to be able to pack large volumes efficiently and additional warehousing to the rear of the building.
Steve has recently been involved in a school initiative talking to young chemists about the exciting and prosperous opportunities in the chemical and manufacturing world.
Steve quotes, “It has always been our plan to produce quality products. Many people we speak to are amazed at the wide range of products we produce. I have a proud feeling about our growth and we have a great team here. There is a lot going on in Leeds in the manufacturing space and we are engaging with schools to inspire the next generations into the sector.
