Vickers Laboratories recent partnership with AquAid
Vickers Laboratories recent partnership with AquAid has provided an opportunity for the company to help with a scheme to deliver clean drinking water to villages across Africa.
The scheme builds ‘Elephant Pumps’ - a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system.
One such pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf and it will be a much needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.

The pump is simple to make and repair and made from locally available materials, which give users a greater sense of ownership. When more than one billion people live without access to clean drinking water in the world today, it is hard to imagine a better cause than this”.
